Are you a Generator Engineer or Mechanical Fitter that enjoys diagnosing problems and getting stuck in to fix them? Then read on! We are on the hunt for an experienced Welfare engineer or a hands-on fitter who would be willing to be trained up, to join our team and be responsible for maintaining our fleet of welfare units, both in depot and on our customer sites.
Here are some of the things you can expect to do:
- Inspecting welfare units and diagnosing defects
- Servicing, maintenance and repair of the generator and electrical systems
- Servicing, maintenance and repair of the running and towing gear
- Attending scheduled and reactive maintenance calls and undertaking remedial works where required, on customer sites or in our depots
- Electrical testing of the unit and appliances
- Refurbishing of units where required
- Keeping the workshop and vehicle clean and tidy and adhering to health and safety procedures
This list isn’t exhaustive, and you may be called upon for additional duties as needed.

- You have significant previous experience in inspection, maintenance, diagnosing and repairing. If you have relevant industry experience with welfare units then that is great, but not essential.
- You hold a full clean UK driving licence.
- Along with the ability to excel under pressure and meet tight deadlines, you can work under your own initiative, have strong organisational skills and have good customer engagement skills.
