We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Maths to join our vibrant college team. This role involves contributing to the successful learning experiences of students through high-quality teaching and effective course management, in line with the college's standards and objectives.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching across a range of college courses and programmes, including GCSE and Functional Skills.
- Develop and maintain course materials, schemes of work, and lesson plans, ensuring their availability through the college's shared information system.
- Lead and contribute to the personal and academic development of students.
- Participate actively in curriculum development and course coordination.
- Perform administrative, tutorial, and pastoral duties for one or more groups of full-time or part-time students.
- Engage in marketing activities, student recruitment, interviewing, and the induction of new members.
- Assess student progress, monitor their achievements, and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain and update course and student records and associated administration.
- Develop and maintain links with employers and contribute to the team’s collective responsibilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in teaching Maths at GCSE levels.
- Ability to create and maintain comprehensive educational materials and lesson plans.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills to manage course teams and contribute to administrative duties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster an engaging learning environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching practices.
