SEMH Teaching Assistant required in the London Borough of Bromley.

We are looking for a committed and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a well-respected all-through mixed SEMH school in Bromley. The school caters to students aged 5–16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, many of whom face additional challenges such as ADHD, ASD, SLCN, MLD, and other difficulties including Tourette syndrome, tics and epilepsy.

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. Your role will involve promoting positive behaviour, helping students stay engaged in learning, and contributing to a calm, structured, and therapeutic school environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or young people who require additional emotional and behavioural support and will be confident in managing challenging situations with empathy and consistency.

The school supports around 100 students aged 5–16 who have a range of complex needs, including SEMH, ADHD, ASD, MLD and additional needs. The school caters to a diverse student body, offering a tailored curriculum that focuses on both academic and personal development and has a strong emphasis on individualized support and a commitment to fostering a nurturing environment. The school was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in all areas during their last inspection in December 2024.
