Team Leader

A well-established manufacturer supplying major UK retailers is looking for a team leader with strong man management skills to be responsible for a small team of machinists operating a range of wood cutting equipment. This is a hands-on role working alongside the team in a busy light manufacturing environment. As Team Leader you will be responsible for: * Leading, motivating and overseeing a team of production operatives to ensure schedules are met within required time frames and to set QC standards. * Supporting and training operatives and maintaining records. * Driving standards and monitoring quality controls to reduce issues and delays * Health and safety departmental responsibility * Troubleshooting machinery issues and developing improved production techniques. You will have the following skills and experience: * Experience in light manufacturing within a wood/MDF environment ideal but not essential. * Ability to motivate and lead a team * Highly organised with strong administration and communication skills. * Interest in process improvement and increasing performance * Hardworking and motivated with a can-do attitude happy to lead by example You would join a strong cohort of team leaders responsible for their own departments and play a key role in our continued growth and development.
