We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join one of our wonderful Primary schools in Merton. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing quality education and support to students with special educational needs, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities of a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher:

Plan, deliver, and assess effective and differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with special educational needs.

Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.

Utilize a variety of teaching resources and technologies to enhance the learning experience for students.

Monitor and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback to parents and other stakeholders.

Manage behaviour effectively and implement appropriate intervention strategies when necessary.

Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive school culture.
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
-
Specialized training or experience in special education.

Proven experience as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher working with students with special educational needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.

Strong understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational development of students with special needs.

Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students.
