Connect it Utility Services are a growing multi-utility company fully focused on delivering exceptional multi-utility services for our customers. To build on our success we’re looking to expand our Commercial Team by recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for supporting all the aspects of contract management, ensuring contract requirements are compliant with standards and to maximise delivery.
Key Skills and duties:
- Oversee the processes involved with keeping supplier information relevant and up to date.
- Administer and manage ongoing contracts on live schemes.
- Help prepare activity schedules and assist with tender processes for new contracts.
- Assist the Commercial Manager and Director with mentoring and providing guidance to other members in the team.
- Knowledge of commercial and/or financial audits.
- Monitor site costs on a weekly basis as well as labour cost allocations and processes.
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
- Manage and report on project changes, ensuring best practice.
Qualifications and experience:
- Educated in Quantity Surveying to at least NVQ level.
- Civils, utilities or highways background.
- Experience in building relationships with both service providers and company partners - including Executives and other Senior Managers.
- Good attention to detail with excellent time management skills.
- Strong analytical skills to be able to manage, collate and store data ensuring best practice.
- Experienced in using Microsoft Office (Particularly Outlook, Excel & Word).
- Team orientated individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Additional:
- An analytical bias with the ability to provide solutions.
- Experience of accounting and Customer Service software and applications.
