Performance Engineer

We are recruiting for a Performance Engineer to join our fantastic Motorsport department in Woking. As the Performance Engineer, you will be a key member of the Motorsport Engineering team focusing on the car and systems performance of the McLaren Motorsport Vehicles.

What You’ll Do

• Racecar modelling and simulation

• Racecar data and performance analysis

• Competitors performance review

• Trackside support for development testing

• Supporting dyno Rig testing and laboratory test for system performance and reliability-related activities

• Supporting testing and validation of the Complete Vehicle and its Sub-systems

• Developing technical capabilities and tools as required by the business

• Educated to Degree level in an Engineering or Computer Science Discipline

• Model-based application software coding in MATLAB/Simulink

• Ability to code and willingness to learn different coding languages if requirements dictate

• "Can-do" attitude and ability to work under pressure

• Personal interest in racecar and driver performance analysis

• Previous experience in a Motorsport environment is preferred but not essential

• Interest in car mechanical and software systems

• Experience in Powertrain or transmission control systems development.
