About the School: Set in the heart of the community, this welcoming School is dedicated to nurturing the unique talents of every child. The specialist SEN team focuses on creating personalised pathways for success, delivering tailored support that promotes resilience, independence, and growth in and beyond the classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessons to meet a wide range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and speech/language challenges.
  • Assist in designing inclusive and engaging learning environments that support academic, emotional, and social development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Use your initiative to provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual student needs.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing classroom culture where all students feel safe, respected, and motivated to learn.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN children in a School or similar setting.
  • A kind, flexible approach and commitment to inclusive education.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and behaviour management skills.
  • A passion for helping students thrive and overcome learning barriers.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Two professional references confirming your experience and suitability.
