Housekeeper

Join us at Eden House, a designated Approved Premises (AP) for up to 26 women, supported by a specially trained all-women workforce! We provide support for women either returning to the community after serving time in prison or have been given a residential requirement as part of a community sentence. We’re currently looking for a Housekeeper to join our established team, to provide specialist cleaning and maintenance services. You’ll create a clean, healthy, and safe environment for all residents, employees and visitors. In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we're offering a competitive salary of £24,242 per annum pro rata (dependent on experience) with these great benefits: • 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays + Birthday Day off (with the opportunity to buy an additional 5 days) • 2 Volunteer Days • Pension – 5% Employee 5% Employer • Healthcare Cash Plan, incl. 3 x salary life assurance • Annual salary review • Refer a friend scheme • Free access to Benefit Hub – an online portal with access to a wide range of retail discounts, cycle to work scheme, and additional voluntary benefits Location: Bristol Hours: Part-time, working 21 hours per week (days to be agreed) Contract: Permanent Closing Date: 28 January 2025 Key Responsibilities * Performance of specialist and general cleaning tasks to prescribed standards and in accordance with the work schedule, either on an individual basis or as part of a team * Ensure that all health and safety risks are identified and report any accidents, trips, spills, hazards or near misses to the Manager * Have a full understanding of heavy-duty cleaning equipment and procedures, their use and maintenance * Ensure all equipment and machinery used are cleaned regularly and securely stored along with materials * Wear protective clothing in line with policy and use approved safe methods and techniques when lifting and handling Skills and Experience * Experience within a residential setting – desirable * Excellent attention to detail * Able to work alone or as part of a team * Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
