This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in maintaining school facilities to a high standard. The Role: As a School Caretaker, you will: Ensure the school premises are safe, clean, and well-maintained at all times. Carry out minor repairs, maintenance, and general DIY tasks. Oversee security, including opening and locking up the school buildings. Monitor and maintain heating, lighting, and alarm systems. Carry out regular health & safety checks and ensure compliance with regulations. Support with setting up rooms and spaces for school events. Liaise with contractors and external maintenance teams when needed. About You: Previous experience in a caretaker, site manager, or maintenance role is desirable. Good practical skills in maintenance, DIY, and basic repairs. Knowledge of health & safety regulations and procedures. Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks. A positive and professional approach to supporting the school community.
