Our client is a major player in the Global Freight Forwarding market they are now looking for a Freight Forwarding Export Team Leader to be based in their office in Leeds. This is a very exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a massive blue-chip organisation with progression. Role Responsibilities You will be responsible for leading a team of 6 in the Air and Ocean Freight department reporting to the Branch Manager Managing the Air and Sea freight department, plan the day-to-day work of the Operations and Customer Service teams. You and your team will handle the end-to-end processes in the Export Department. Driving performance of AFR & OFR teams, providing leadership across areas of responsibility inspiring people to engage with the business to deliver key results. Ensure file level GP, cost allocation and operations controls are delivered through empowerment of your teams. Supports in KPI achievements and oversee the team\’s performance and guide them in the correct direction by performance reviews and evaluating team members. Skills & Qualifications: * Proven track record of leading a team. * Has the ability to lead a team, inspire and motivate people. * Ocean Freight Export experience with a good knowledge of Air & Ocean Freight processes and systems. * A proven ability to identify and meet customer service needs in a professional and friendly manner. * Experience of delivering and reporting back to Managers on data / business performance as and when requested. * Knowledge of Freight Forwarding industry, exports, imports and customs related processes. * Inter-personal skills, influencing, communication, relationship management, cultural awareness and ability to work across teams. * Clear and concise communication skills, written and spoken. * Experience of HMRC process for Imports and Exports. * Commercial awareness Package & Benefits * Salary circa £32,000 * 25 days holiday * Advantages scheme * Contributory pension
