Bridging Underwriter

We’re expanding our team and are looking for a confident, solutions-focused Underwriter who can balance commercial thinking with strong risk awareness. What You’ll Do * Assess and underwrite bridging loan applications across residential, semi-commercial and commercial properties. * Make clear, confident decisions in line with funding and risk appetite. * Communicate decisions effectively to brokers, clients and internal teams. * Work creatively to structure deals that work for both the client and the business. * Manage your own pipeline while supporting team delivery. * Build strong relationships with brokers and external partners. What We’re Looking For * Previous underwriting experience within short-term/bridging finance (essential). * Strong understanding of property, valuations, risk and deal structure. * Confident communicator who can handle challenging conversations when needed. * A problem solver who enjoys the quirk and complexity of deals. * Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and stays calm under pressure.
