NRL are supporting with a Major Tier 1 Contractor on their search for a Project Engineer to work on a Major Project in Scotland.
Alongside the Project Manager / Project Director and project team with accountability for successful project delivery including planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning and handover/close out.
To formalise and specify an engineered delivery solution, brief out the solution to the working party and ensure it is completed through effective management and leadership.
Manage and care for the people delivering the works whilst monitoring compliance and to customer/project requirements, objectives and constraints, time, cost, quality and safety.
Personal Qualities and Experience
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
- An organised, innovative and creative Project Engineer with knowledge and experience of working on Projects who is proficient in commercial/project management communications.
- Experience in implementing safe systems of work.
- Experience in managing risks and change processes through a solutions-based approach to problem solving.
- Good interpersonal skills that enable working relationships to be developed at all levels across the business and be able to negotiate and influence.
- Discuss ideas and plans competently and with confidence.
- Communicate new concepts and ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Awareness and promotion of the benefits of diversity and inclusion.
- Demonstration of resilience and determination to succeed.
- Proactively develop others around you including junior members of the team.
- Identify and drive personal development.
- Proficient in O365.
The role holder is likely to have one or more of the following:
- Holds or is working towards a formal qualification in construction/engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Holds or desires to work towards either the APM PFQ/PMQ.
- Holds CSCS and SMSTS or equivalent.
This role is a minimum 6 month contract with the potential to extend for 2-3 years.
