Description: This role involves the receiving, sortation and preparation of mail for forwarding to Royal Mail in line with contractual requirements, theaccurate filling in of records and documentation and submission to Royal mail. Provide leadership and guidance in support of your team. Responsibilities: Sortation of received mail Help prepare workplace ready for sortation. Filling in of data for entry to computer system. Preparing mail ready for delivery to Royal Mail in the correct format. Comply with health and safety in the workplace. Operation of Windows based computer system. Accurate reporting of counts and administration of company systems and procedures. Overseeing colleagues on either machine operation or manual sortation. Ensuring colleagues comply with Health and Safety best practice. Safeguard of Building and Premises at end of day. Some 3.5t Van Driving Duties maybe required. Reporting of Discrepancies to Management and actioning process improvement Personal specification: Reliability and honesty Excellent attention to detail. Good timekeeping Good reading, writing and Arithmetic. The ability to deal with repetitive tasks quickly and efficiently The ability to work alone or as part of a team An awareness of health and safety issues Knowledge of windows/web based IT systems and Office applications. Hours of work: 17:00 – 22:00 Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week. Skills: Organisational Skills Accuracy Staff Supervision Reporting
