About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee all HR functions, ensuring compliance with UK immigration regulations related to employee sponsorship, visa applications, and right-to-work checks. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong knowledge of employment law, workforce planning, and talent acquisition in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and a proactive approach are essential. Please note that sponsorship is not offered; candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies in line with UK employment laws and company goals.
- Ensure compliance with UKVI regulations, manage sponsorship applications, and visa processes.
- Manage the Home Office SMS portal, issuing and tracking CoS, and monitoring employee statuses.
- Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary procedures, and performance management.
- Drive employee engagement and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Support learning and development programs.
- Collaborate with operational managers on HR initiatives.
About You
Essential Requirements
- CIPD Level 5 or higher qualification or equivalent experience.
- Proven HR management experience, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG sector.
- Understanding of employment-related immigration rules and sponsorship processes.
- Familiarity with the Home Office SMS portal.
- Knowledge of ethical trading and modern slavery compliance.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online document management tools.
- Experience working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
