Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and electrically-biased Shift Engineer to join a premier data centre team in the Berkshire area. This is a hands-on role with a focus on ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of critical infrastructure. You will be part of a dedicated engineering team, responsible for maintaining high standards and providing immediate technical support within a 24/7 operational environment. Key Responsibilities: * Electrical Systems Maintenance: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on electrical systems, including UPS, HV/LV systems, switchgear, and generators. * Mechanical Support: Provide secondary support on mechanical systems as required, including HVAC, cooling systems, and fire suppression. * Critical Systems Management: Monitor and manage the data centre’s BMS and EMS to ensure environmental stability, security, and safety. * Operational Support: Work closely with site management to ensure SLAs and performance metrics are achieved, promptly resolving any technical issues. * Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct work in line with site safety procedures and industry standards, following all health and safety guidelines. * Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work, including technical logs, reports, and maintenance records to ensure transparency and continuity.
