Band 6 Locum General Radiographer
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Until end of November 2026
Location: Haverfordwest – No accommodation on site available
Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Band 6 General Radiographer to join our team at WGH.
- This is a key role supporting high-demand imaging services across urgent care, inpatient wards (to support flow), and a wide range of outpatient pathways, including cancer and surgical services.
- The successful candidate will be confident working in a fast-paced clinical environment, delivering high-quality imaging to support patient safety and performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-standard general radiography across urgent care, wards, and outpatient settings.
- Support cancer and surgical pathways, including high-risk and urgent cases.
- Contribute to safe patient flow and timely imaging turnaround times.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and governance requirements.
Shift Pattern
- Mix of 9am-5pm and 8am-8:30pm shifts.
- 5pm-8:30pm cover if available.
- 30-minute unpaid break on short shifts.
- 1-hour unpaid break on long shifts.
Candidate Requirements
- HCPC-registered Radiographer.
- Previous Band 6 experience desirable.
- Strong general radiography skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
- Flexible, reliable, and confident in a busy clinical setting.
Contract Length
- Start ASAP.
- Fixed-term until November 2026.
