Mechanical Engineer – Defence📍 London💼 Permanent | Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm💰 £41,000–£48,000We’re looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a high-security Defence site in London. This role is all about keeping critical mechanical systems safe, compliant, and running smoothly.What you’ll be doing.Planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, plant equipment).Fault-finding and repairs to minimise downtime.Making sure all work complies with HSEQ standards and site procedures.Keeping accurate records of all maintenance activities.Working with other engineers and contractors to deliver reliable service.Offering technical advice and support where needed.What we need from youLevel 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).DV clearance (or DV that has expired in the last 6 months).Solid experience in mechanical engineering, ideally within building services or facilities maintenance.Strong HSEQ awareness and training.Problem-solving skills, able to work solo or in a team.Clear communicator with good record-keeping skills.What’s in it for you£41k–£48k salary26 days holiday + bank holidaysGenerous pension contributionLife assuranceTraining and development opportunities
