Vehicle Mechanics Apprenticeship Coach

First Military Recruitment is partnering with an international Defence business to recruit a Vehicle Technician Trainer at their Lyneham depot on a permanent basis due to growth. The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a CPD portfolio on new technologies and equipment, develop lesson plans and training sessions according to Learner Specifications, Course specifications, and Course Training Plans.
• Review and update course materials to reflect technological advances, using appropriate training aids.
• Assess trainees through written exams, practical assessments, continuous assessments, and invigilation.
• Support trainee development via monitoring, feedback, discipline, and interventions; maintain documentation and flag developmental needs to the Lead Trainer.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Vehicle Technician background (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent minimum)
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
• Organized with good time management and proactive approach
• Workshop experience with diagnostic skills (Light vehicle or HGV); military vehicle inspection experience (HGV or armoured) is beneficial but not essential
• Strong IT literacy
