Job Description
The Environmental Design Engineer forms part of the Building Physics and Sustainable Design team and assumes general responsibilities that pro-actively contribute to the growth of our Sustainable and Environmental Design services.
We're looking for someone from a Mechanical Engineering background to take responsibility for all design, documentation, administration and compliance with project constraints for our Environmental Engineering and Sustainability disciplines.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Consultancy services: including preparing engineering reports and specifications for our clients, and providing design sketches and reports required for concept, schematic, design development and construction phases of projects
- Project Management: responsible for efficient and profitable completion of all assigned projects and tasks whilst maintaining excellent technical standards and client satisfaction
- Client Service Management: continually strengthen client loyalty and gain repeat business by providing high quality service and creative solutions
Qualifications
- A Mechanical Engineering/Design qualification is essential
- Working towards a CIBSE qualification or equivalent
- Experience working in Environmental Design within the Built Environment industry
- Comfortable in a client facing role
- Excellent verbal and written communication with experience of writing technical reports for external stakeholders
