Mothercare are looking for a 12 month Fixed term Contract Buying Assistant to join our Buying team in Apsley. Within this role you will support the Buyer and Assistant Buyer in identifying and delivering the product strategy for the clothing department in line with the business and partners strategies.
In addition you will hold the following responsibilities:
- Ensure that the products being manufactured are produced on time, with the right manufacturing partner, liaising and intervening as necessary directly with the manufacturing partners to smooth production and resolve any issues.
- Support the timely arrival and availability of product
- Input accurate information to the system and supporting documents in order to maintain accurate style information.
- Work to support the smooth running of the department with respect to global sign off and selling events.
- To communicate effectively with all involved parties.
- Collect and collate all information relevant to critical path management.
- Ensure product development process is smooth and managed with total critical path adherence.
- Provide administrative support as required, including booking meeting rooms, opening and distributing post and parcels, ensuring that the department in maintained tidily.
- Regularly benchmark to keep up to speed with the competitive market.
