Responsibilities:
- Oversee product development and project management, including the creation of artwork briefs and driving cost-saving initiatives.
- Handle cost quotes and negotiations with suppliers, while sourcing new products and planning, executing, and supervising projects to align with management’s strategic goals, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
Key Tasks:
- Participate in global meetings related to project and product development and tenders.
- Brief Global Product Development on projects, including mechanical artwork requests.
- Review artwork to ensure compliance with regional regulations and obtain approval for label printing.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding cost estimates and timelines.
- Review and approve pre-production samples prior to granting permission for mass production.
- Collaborate closely with various departments on product development projects, including Sales, Global and Regional PD, Brand, Design, Marketing, Engineering, Product Quality, Project Management, Procurement, Planning, and Export.
- Request new product codes from the data administration team.
- Keep internal teams updated on Cosmetic Product Safety Assessments for new product developments.
- Assess and recommend future role requirements and process improvements.
- Liaise with Global R&D to ensure formula compliance and market trend awareness.
- Ensure the quality of sustainable packaging and provide professional insights for product development.
- Work with suppliers and manufacturers to collect formulation documents (INCI, COA, MSDS) for regional registration.
- Travel occasionally to attend exhibitions or visit factories as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience in Cosmetics, Materials, Chemicals, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in Project Management, successfully managing over 10 projects with multiple suppliers using project management tools and processes.
- Knowledge of UK and EU Cosmetic Regulations is a significant advantage.
- Fluent in both verbal and written English.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for creating management reports and updates.
- Ability to identify management issues, propose solutions, and make decisions.
- Capable of managing workload, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, engaged in teamwork, and skilled in time management.
