Job Description

ICTUK is a leading tissue manufacturer committed to delivering outstanding quality products and services to our customers. As we expand with a new state-of-the-art facility in Deeside, we are seeking a dedicated Transport Specialist to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation systems. The specialist will work to ensure that the transport operations are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with company objectives while adhering to all regulatory and safety standards.

Role Responsibilities

– Analyse and optimise transport routes to minimise costs, time, and environmental impact.

– Collaborate with third-party transport providers, negotiating contracts and monitoring their performance.

– Ensure that all transport operations comply with local, national, and international regulations and safety standards.

– Work closely with the warehouse, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure seamless coordination across departments.

– Design and implement transport strategies to ensure the timely and cost-efficient delivery of goods and services.

– Monitor transport expenses, seek cost-saving opportunities, and prepare budgets for transport operations.

– Identify opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of transport activities, promoting eco-friendly solutions

Required knowledge/Skills

– Some experience in coordinating and optimising transportation logistics, including route planning and fleet management.

– Familiarity with transport regulations and compliance standards at local and national level.

– Practical experience with transport management systems (TMS) and route optimisation tools, reducing transport expenses.
