Site Engineer

We are working with a major civil engineering contractor delivering a high-profile tunnelling and reinforced concrete (RC) shafts scheme in the Chippenham area. They are seeking an experiencedSenior Engineer or Sub Agentto play a key role in the delivery of this technically challenging package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the delivery of tunnelling and RC shaft construction

• Manage site engineering teams and subcontractors

• Ensure compliance with design, specifications, and quality standards

• Lead on health & safety, ITPs, permits, and temporary works coordination

• Liaise with the client, designers, and project managers

• Assist in planning, programming, and progress reporting

Requirements:

• Strong background in heavy civil engineering, specifically tunnelling and RC structures

• Experience managing teams and complex site operations

• Temporary works experience (coordinator or supervisor beneficial)

• SMSTS and CSCS (essential)

• Civil engineering qualification (Degree/HNC or equivalent)

Start Date:ASAP / short notice preferred
