Job Description

HOK are looking for an experienced and motivated Director of Interiors to join our friendly, hardworking, and collaborative team in central London.

HOK has an established portfolio of creative design projects delivered to clients globally, working across multiple disciplines including workspace design, hospitality, sports & entertainment and healthcare. With the support of both the Managing Principal and Firmwide Director of Interiors, and together with the established Interiors team, as the Director of Interiors at HOK’s London studio you will have the responsibility of spearheading the department, leading the team and providing the vision, thought and drive to secure new project work.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Marketing and business development opportunities, client engagement and relationships
  • Winning and securing new project work for Interiors sector and HOK
  • Strategic visioning for both the Interiors department and contributions to the future of the London studio and wider firm
  • Leadership and supervision of employees work and wellbeing. Mentorship of team development and growth, putting collaboration and inclusion foremost
  • Development of fee proposals, contract management and negotiation
  • Thorough knowledge of work plans, schedules, resourcing and budgets. Proven ability to deliver projects profitably
  • Astute eye for design quality and integration of sustainable design solutions
  • Advanced and intelligent knowledge of design trends and future direction, FF&E, finishes, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer supplier-appropriateness
  • Strong connections with manufacturers and design industry specialists
