We’re looking for a Business Administrator to support with the smooth running of events.
We organise lots of events every year and in this role, you’ll handle event bookings, enquires and all things event admin. Plus the role also, includes some general admin support across the business.
We’re looking for someone that has excellent communications and organisation skills, the ability to multitask across several events and passionate about admin.

Job Description
Job Title: Business Administrator (Events)
Reports To: Head of Commercial
Job Purpose: Main priority is to provide administrative support to the events team
Provide ad-hoc day-to-day general office administrative support
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Events
Main point of contact for all event queries including delegate bookings and exhibition stands
Attend regional and UK events to support with set up and dismantle
Undertake all the events administrative tasks including:
o Log online and offline bookings
o Set up/update event booking system and website
o Update mailing lists on CRM, process unsubscribes and issue e-flyers
o Create event delegate lists & print badges
o Collate event freight and undertake stock check
o Liaise with third parties such as suppliers to obtain quotes
o Post event actions such as issuing post event email, tidying freight boxes, updating CRM
Office and Administrative Support
Support the wider team with ad-hoc administrative tasks such as meeting room set up, stock checks etc.
Data input to CRM
Keep the office clean and tidy
Welcome visitors
Answer the phone
Other Duties:
Act as ‘Ambassador’ for NOF
Proactively contribute to internal planning meetings, staff updates etc.
Active use of social media channels including LinkedIn to promote NOF events and services
Build relationships and network with members, partners, and stakeholders
Identify and assist in the recruitment of new members and partners, supporting the Membership and Business Development teams
Proactively identify member “good news” stories and case studies that can be used for publicity
Time allocated to provide support to the Energi Coast Cluster (owned and operated by NOF)
Perform any duties commensurate with the position as required
Knowledge & Skills Required
Maths & English GCSE or equivalent
Attention to detail, ability to proof own work and ensure a high level of quality at all times
Good Customer Service skills with a friendly and professional telephone manner
Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and oral
Able to operate over several projects and meet deadlines
IT literate with experience of using a CRM, Microsoft applications including excel, PowerPoint and word
Experience of working on online platforms such as LinkedIn, Teams and Zoom
Knowledge of GDPR and importance of data confidentiality
Able to handle a busy and varied workload
Education & Experience
Experience of working in a fast-paced office environment
Experience in an administrative / customer service / events or business support role
Other Attributes
Must have a professional manner and attitude
Be a team player
Able to confidently communicate and network
Must be willing to learn, adapt to change, undertake training and personal development where required
Self-motivated and confident and able to work as part of a small team and on own initiative
Car owner, full UK drivers licence and willing to travel if required
