POSITION: Senior Risk AnalystASSIGNMENT NO: 28914LOCATION: LondonExpertise:Knowledge and Qualifications:Degree level qualification preferably in risk management or similar analytical disciplineGood understanding of insurance and reinsurance business and Lloyd\’s marketsSkills and Demonstrated Experience:Preferably 5 years\’ experience working in insurance industry preferably in risk managementExperience of a broad range of risk typesNumerate and able to draw appropriate conclusion through analysis of dataFocus on problem solving and comfortable with multi-taskingGood level of communication both verbal and writtenExcellent people skillsStrong attention to detailActs with professionalism, reliability and integrityDiligent, self-driven and organised, with excellent time management skillsRole:To support the Risk Manager in the development and maintenance of a robust risk management system.Key Accountabilities:Risk Register:Take ownership and assist senior members with operational risk assessment and control activitiesResponsible for running and overseeing the self-certification process for risk registerAssessing the management response on control effectiveness and escalating issues to the Risk ManagersAssist the senior members in agreeing, designing and implementing changes in risk/control framework with the risk and control owners and assess ongoing appropriateness of mitigation strategiesLiaise with wider business teams on the effectiveness of control activities and work in collaboration to identify and resolve issuesResponsible for the routine maintenance of the risk registerMaintenance of risk and issue logPreparation of quarterly reports on risk and control effectivenessEffective running of the monthly/quarterly processesTimely resolution and reporting of issues and agreed actionsHigh quality reportsRisk Management Framework:Work with the business to articulate, develop and report on appropriate controls and risk measures across a broad range of risk typesUndertake ad-hoc risk assessments (e.g. key projects, strategic developments) where requiredSupport the day-to-day implementation of agreed risk management procedures, and practices; suggest enhancements where appropriateUnderstand how key company policies and procedures translate into the risk frameworkAssist the senior members in periodic review of policies, procedures and internal/external reportingClosely work with the senior members in developing and maintaining the Risk Management ProceduresEffective management of business stakeholders to achieve objectives of their risk frameworkIdentify and suggest opportunities for process enhancementWork with business to ensure timely resolution and reporting of risks issues and agreed actionsCollaborate across risk teamEffective maintenance of risk policies and proceduresRisk Appetite and Tolerances:Responsible for running the risk appetite reporting process and drafting reporting for internal reviewAssessing the risk exposures with the wider business and escalating issues to the Risk ManagerAssist Risk Manager in maintaining a consistent framework of appetite/ tolerances across a Global business and work with the senior members on applicable enhancementsAssist the senior members in regular reportingEffective running of the monthly/quarterly processesRobust, consistent reportingReview and constructively challenge any supplied risk information while interacting tactfullyTimely resolution and reporting of issues and agreed actionsRisk Management System:Assist the senior members in embedding and enhancing the use of the risk management system in daily activities of the risk team and within the businessSupport the team in ensuring that the risk management system is being utilised correctly by the businessEffective use of the risk management systemSupport the business to utilise the risk management system effectively in line with frameworkRegulatory Reporting (ORSA, GSSA, FCR, RSR):Play a key role in the annual regulatory reporting processes and project managementAssist the senior members in developing and maintaining a consistent framework of reportingProvide input into drafting of report and present consistent information in a concise manner based on information and risk analysisAssist senior members in the design and implementation of stress and scenario testsRobust management of the annual regulatory reporting cyclePro-active attitude towards learning and making valuable contributionEmerging Risk:Work with the senior members to research and identify industry trends and hot topics relating to emerging risk(s) that could impact our clients business and other local entitiesMaintain the Emerging Risk Register and monitoring and reporting processAssist the senior members in Emerging Risk Group reportingIdentification and research appropriate emerging risksOperational Risk:Understand key operational processes within an insurance company, and work with the business to articulate, develop and report on appropriate controls and risk measuresLiaise with the business to understand causes and establish appropriate mitigations to prevent reoccurrenceEnsure operational events are recordedSupport risk oversight of operational resilience assessments and reviews as requiredTimely and complete recording of operational incidents and establishment of remedial actionsWork with business to ensure actions are updated and closed off in a timely wayOther:Assist the Risk team in performing risks assessment that are required in respect of strategic initiativesSupport the ongoing development of risk management processesKeep up to date with the industry developments and escalate potential issues for the risk frameworkProactive attitude towards learning and making valuable contributionIdentify and suggest opportunities for process enhancementAlways Takes responsibility for own and colleagues’ Health & SafetyStatutory, personnel and Company Health & Safety policy regulations are adhered toTo ensure customers are always treated fairly, in accordance with the Conduct Risk Policy and other relevant policies and proceduresCompliance with applicable Regulatory Requirements and Lloyd\’s Minimum Standards (where applicable) Satisfactory performance as reflected in relevant Conduct Risk MITo be aware and adhere to all obligations under GDPR, ensuring that the business complies with these requirementsAdherence to Antares Global policies and procedures in relation to GDPRTimely completion of ongoing training in relation to GDPRTo avoid breaches and to report them to the Data Protection Officer when they occur regardless of whether electronic or on paper
