Financial Controller

Hayward Hawk is exclusively partnering with a PE-backed manufacturing business to appoint a Financial Controller. This is a senior leadership role with real scope to shape the finance function during a period of investment, expansion, and operational change. The Role Take full ownership of monthly management accounts, budgets, and rolling forecasts for UK & ROI entities (turnover £10M+) Deliver meaningful analysis and commentary to the senior leadership team to inform strategic decisions Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities to support growth plans Oversee statutory accounts, tax compliance, and all regulatory reporting requirements Lead annual audits and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and lead ERP system enhancements (SAP/NetSuite) Partner closely with operations on product costing, margin reviews, and capital investment appraisals Manage and mentor a small, high-performing finance team in Belfast The Person Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven Financial Controller or senior finance leadership experience Strong background in manufacturing or engineering environments preferred Skilled in group reporting, consolidations, and compliance Commercial, hands-on, and comfortable in a fast-paced, PE-backed business Strong ERP knowledge SAP, NetSuite, or similar Why apply?
