Monday to Friday – 8am – 4pm (on call 1 in every 6 with additional pay)

A leading player in the fuel storage and energy infrastructure sector is looking for a skilled Electrical Technician to join their regional maintenance team.

The Role

Working primarily in Saffron Walden, you’ll carry out day-to-day electrical maintenance and inspection across a pipeline network and associated facilities.

The role includes:

• Electrical testing, fault finding and preventative maintenance on plant equipment
• Working on LV systems, emergency lighting, small power and fire alarms
• Performing inspections and testing in line with BS 7671 and BS 60079 (including hazardous areas)
• Collaborating with engineering teams to resolve defects and implement plant changes

The role requires some travel within the region and flexibility for overtime and occasional out-of-hours callouts.

What You’ll Need

• Recognised electrical qualifications: 18th Edition, BS7671, 2394/2395, or CompEx
• Understanding of safety systems including Permit to Work, Risk Assessments, and Safety Critical Tasks
• Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a proactive mindset
• Clean UK driving licence (essential)
