Job Description
Risk & Compliance Associate – Insurance
£55,000 per annum + discretionary bonus + benefits
City of London, 2 days a week in the office
Audit & Risk Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with an insurance brokerage based in the City of London. Founded within the last decade, our client is one of the fastest growing intermediaries in the UK, with big plans to break in to the top 20 in the near future. We are helping them to source a Risk & Compliance Associate to join their Legal team. This is a role that can develop into a global leadership position – ambitious candidates are encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities will include the design and development of a legal compliance framework covering (but not limited to) Financial Crime, Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions and Data Privacy. You will help to ensure that appropriate controls are in place to mitigate against these risks, and will contribute to the development of the group-wide risk management framework. This is a business facing role, and you will engage with stakeholders at all levels of seniority as a legal compliance and risk champion, to run training workshops and as the \’go to\’ for all things legal compliance.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified lawyer, or have comparable experience working as part of a legal function. You will need to have worked in the Insurance sector, and have knowledge of Financial Crime and Sanctions in the context of legal compliance. You\’ll also need to be a self-starter who will enjoy building relationships in a business facing role.
