We require the services of an experienced Project Manager to lead the development of Department for Transport (DfT) Green Book / Transport Analysis Guidance (TAG) compliant business cases for a wide range of infrastructure and regeneration projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively alongside other departments such as Highways, Landscape, Street Lighting, Property, Development and Maintenance teams and external stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Identify potential funding opportunities and lead the development of Department for Transport (DfT) Green Book / Transport Analysis Guidance (TAG) compliant business cases / funding bids for a wide range of infrastructure and regeneration projects.
  • Compile / input into a project plan using a recognised project management methodology to achieve the project objectives.
  • Work with colleagues and stakeholders to compile high level project cost estimates.
  • Prepare briefings for the leadership team (alongside Infrastructure colleagues).
  • Engage with and brief members / stakeholders (alongside Infrastructure colleagues).
  • Engage with and proactively build together stakeholder and partners.
  • Attend consultation events.
  • Carry out site visits if required.
  • Manage internal and external project reporting and approvals processes (with guidance from Infrastructure colleagues).

The Project Manager should be suitably degree-qualified (or time-served) with relevant experience.

The role will be based in Manchester with a hybrid working arrangement (Three days office / site and two days per week remote).
