Our welcoming primary school in Sparkhill is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide classroom and personal care support to a pupil in Reception. This role starts ASAP and will continue until July, offering an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child with special educational needs.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to help the pupil engage in the classroom and ensure they receive the necessary personal care throughout the school day. You will be instrumental in supporting the pupil's academic, social, and emotional development, working closely with the class teacher and other staff to implement their Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a Reception pupil with special educational needs in a school in Sparkhill.
  • Assist with personal care needs, ensuring the pupil's well-being throughout the school day.
  • Support the pupil in engaging with classroom activities and developing their learning.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to follow the pupil's EHCP.
