Maintenance Engineer – Days Location: Kempston Salary: £41,500 per annum Shifts: Monday to Friday – Day Shifts Only Industry: FMCG / Manufacturing Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer seeking a stable, days-based role with a strong and supportive team? We are recruiting for a hands-on engineer to join a busy and growing manufacturing site in Kempston. The Role: As part of the site engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring production machinery runs efficiently and downtime is minimised. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving and delivering high engineering standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a range of equipment Respond quickly to breakdowns and diagnose faults effectively Support production teams to ensure minimal disruption to output Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to site standards Assist with improvement projects and equipment upgrades What We're Looking For: Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role within manufacturing or FMCG Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills (multi-skilled preferred) Recognised engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent) Self-motivated and able to work independently during day shifts What's on Offer: Competitive salary of £41,000 Monday to Friday day shifts – no nights or weekends …
