This is an opportunity to be part of Bradfields Academy’s successful team. We are looking to recruit Special Needs Teaching Assistants to work mainly in our primary community.

We are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants who are passionate and experienced working with students with learning disabilities and complex needs wanting to make a difference to the students’ lives. You will be responsible for providing a dynamic range of support for students with a range of special educational needs both inside and out of the classroom. Students are aged from 4 – 19 years however this role is work predominantly with our KS1 & 2 students. You will ensure all students can thrive and fully develop their social, cognitive and emotional skills, working alongside the teacher to be a role model and guide; to motivate and enable all students to achieve whilst having high expectations for the behavioural and intellectual development of each learner. There is an element of personal care for some of our students., Fortis Trust strives to provide high quality education as a result of strong partnerships between its academies, institutions and local partners. Bradfields Academy has been recognised as a highly innovative and forward thinking academy involved in SEN educational development at a local and national level. Located in Walderslade, Kent and situated within easy reach of local transport.
Forward2Employment works alongside Fortis Trust to support young people, with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND), in Medway, Kent and the South East to find permanent and purposeful employment.

We provide Supported Internships for young adults. Supported Internships are a structured study programme based primarily at a place of employment.
Within this position it is ideal if you are experienced and knowledgeable to work with learners with special needs; a relevant Level 2/3 EYFS/Teaching Assistant certification and/or SEND qualifications would be advantageous from care or school work based experience. Previous experience working with moderate to complex learning difficulties within the 4 – 11 age range would be an advantage. You will have a great work ethic, patience with a calming presence and keen to be involved in all aspects of the academy community.
NJC Medway D2 [£24,404 – £27,269] pro rata, plus SEN £1,491 pro rata
Hours 31.8 hours per week, term time plus 5 Staff Development Days
