The CPA is seeking to appoint a Programmes Manager – CPA Parliamentary Academy (Full-Time/Fixed-Term 1 year) to work within our Programmes Team.
Learning and striving for excellence should be a lifelong objective. With this in mind, the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association developed the CPA Parliamentary Academy: A Centre of Excellence for Commonwealth Parliamentarians.
The CPA Parliamentary Academy is our flagship central learning hub, initially intended for Parliamentarians and parliamentary staff, but has extended to be open to anyone who wishes to learn about Parliaments and key thematic topics. In May 2021, the CPA Parliamentary Academy launched its first set of nine online courses. Today, our portfolio of courses has extended to 16 courses, with nearly 2,000 Parliamentarians and parliamentary officials registered on the platform.
The CPA is seeking to appoint a Programmes Manager to provide managerial leadership for the CPA Parliamentary Academy and to support its growth strategy.

- Full Time – 1-year Fixed Term contract
- Salary: £40,563 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting)
Under the direction of the Deputy Head of Programmes (Bilateral Engagement), the Programmes Manager will manage and maintain the online elements of the CPA Parliamentary Academy as well as providing support for the delivery and development of the in-person Residency Programmes associated with the CPA Parliamentary Academy.
The role-holder will play an important part in strengthening parliamentary institutions and enhancing the capacity of Parliamentarians and parliamentary staff to increase good governance processes across the Commonwealth.
