Newly Weds Foods Banbury
The Banbury site has been part of the Newly Weds Foods family since 2010. During that time our employee team has grown, and we now employ over 250 people. We have a Bakery, a Blend factory and a dedicated Gluten Free factory which operate over a range of shifts. We have on-site departments including Production, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, HR, QA, Finance and Payroll, and a dedicated on-site R&D team.
The Position
Newly Weds® Foods Ltd is looking for a professional, conscientious and proactive Internal Recruiter (6-month FTC) to join our team at our site in Banbury, where we also support a smaller site in Corby.
The successful candidate will be responsible for recruitment administration, including interviewing, and provide administrative support to support the HR function. You will work closely with the HR team to ensure we deliver a high-quality HR service to the business. You will be responsible for the full recruitment process from start to finish and ensuring that the candidate journey is smooth. Working closely with the HR team and wider company, responding to the hiring needs of the business whilst working collaboratively to source the best people for the business. Delivering a great pre-boarding and onboarding experience to applicants and new starters. To provide recruitment support to both the Banbury and Corby sites.
Responsibilities
- Management of full recruitment process with the focus on delivering an excellent candidate journey.
- Control of all agency workers on site, including liaising with agencies, defining temporary worker requirement with Hiring Manager, all administration related to agency workers including timesheets and generating of purchase orders.
- Working directly with the Hiring Managers to understand their needs and unique role requirements.
- Updating of job descriptions and creation of adverts.
- Monitor job boards for new applications.
- Shortlisting of applications based on the criteria stated in the relevant job description.
- Provide reports on recruitment to HR Manager and Plant Manager.
- Liaising with Hiring Manager regarding relevant interview questions and ensuring that the questions have a competency based focus.
- Management of applications for jobs and responding to applicants in a timely manner.
- Co-ordinate and arranging interviews with recruitment agencies and direct applicants for Hiring Managers and HR.
- Attend interviews for all jobs up to and including Team Leader level, and first stage for all jobs up to Shift Manger level.
- Prepare internal vacancy notifications.
- Responsible for internal referral process.
Person specification – Essential Experience
- Minimum of 12 months fast paced recruitment experience.
- Experience of recruiting within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Excellent written English and maths.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with line managers and employees at all levels of the business.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to demonstrate a professional, confident and ‘can do’ attitude.
- Excellent organisation, planning and diary management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A full driving licence.
- Ability to maintain confidentially at all times.
- Punctual, reliable and trustworthy.
