Business Solutions Director – Insurance
Reporting to the COO, this Business Solutions Director role is accountable for outcome delivery of transformation initiatives, and responsible for optimising operations and technology across the customer/employee journey.
Business Solutions Director
Partner with IT and Lean Deployment Specialists to implement automation strategies and other technology-driven workflows
Own and drive improvement in underwriting, operations, and other functions by creating a focus on productivity, digitalisation, Broker / Customer journey
Partner with Business Function Leaders, Product / Class leaders, Strategic Ops managers, and key stakeholders to understand business imperatives across the business and translate to strategic priorities and tactical / continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage Demand for Transformation & tactical improvement initiatives through management of dependencies
Own Business outcome design & traceability through partnering with Head’s of other execution functions (Strategic Portfolio Management, IT, Process Excellence, Strategic Analytics, Data Transformation)
Assess London Market, Lloyd’s initiatives and their alignment to the business priorities
Identify Operational and Tech initiatives required to support UW & other functions across the enterprise
Partner with IT & other execution teams and various UW leaders across the enterprise to define the short- and long-term Ops and Tech roadmap
Skills & Experience
Knowledge & awareness of the entire Insurance value chain – Actuarial, Pricing, Underwriting, Finance, claims, Operations – with a deeper specialism within one or more of these functions
Deep London market / Lloyd’s knowledge & experience of delivering improvements
Deep knowledge and ability to discern operational and tech implications of strategic business plans
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to exert significant influence and present complex information to varying stakeholder groups
Must demonstrate proficiency in teamwork and interpersonal skills, communication, technical and organisation, complex problem-solving and service skills
Effective communication of enterprise strategy and operational plan to stakeholders and operational enablers across the org
