Overview
HGV Class 1 – Bridgwater. We are recruiting temporary to permanent drivers for our depot in Bridgwater. The role consists of refrigerated deliveries to shops and stores, 8‑15 drops per day with tail lift and cages. Immediate starts for successful candidates.
Shift Patterns Available
- 3:00 start 3 on 3 off
- 3:00 start Friday – Tuesday
- 3:00 start Saturday – Tuesday
- 3:00 start Tuesday – Saturday
- 13:00 start Wednesday – Saturday
- 14:00 start 4 on 2 off 4 on 4 off
Pay Rates
- Day – Monday – Friday £16.63 (overtime after 47.5hrs £18.71)
- Day – Saturday £18.71
- Day – Sunday and Bank Holidays £24.95
- Nights – Monday – Friday £19.00 (overtime after 47.5hrs £21.38)
- Nights – Saturday £21.38
- Nights – Sunday and Bank Holidays £28.50
30‑minute break deducted per shift only.
Qualifications & Expectations
- In‑date DIGI and CPC card
- Enthusiastic, reliable, helpful and organised individual
- Willing to work weekends
- Motivated and open to learn new skills
- Demonstrates an excellent attitude to work
Responsibilities
- Driving within the WTD and EU regs and rules
- Prepping vehicles for delivery
- Completing vehicle checks
- Refuelling vehicles
- Ensure highest levels of customer service are maintained on the round and orders are fulfilled on time and in full
