Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (Part-Time, Fixed Term) Salary: £11,806 per annumClosing Date: 2025-02-07About the Role What You Will Do
- Provide support within the classroom and off-site visits.
- Help provide support for students with additional needs ie essential wheelchair user, hearing impairment, visual impairment etc.
- Involved in planning, preparation and assessment of learning as part of the course team.
- Providing in-class support to meet needs of students who have high needs.
- Providing curriculum teachers/assessors and Learning Support team members with verbal and written reports on students who have high needs or SEN.
- Assisting with emergency evacuation plans and practices, and helping with all emergency evacuations.
- Keeping accurate and timely records, recording progress and strategies used, as required.
About You
- Must have/ be work towards English and Mathematics at Level 2 / GCSE grade C/ level 3 or above.
- Relevant experience, knowledge and understanding of working in the Sector – Personal care, supporting students who use wheelchairs. Relevant qualification in related area.
- Must be IT literate.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with staff/students at all levels in the college.
