Sea Freight Exports Clerk

Our client is a well-established packing, international freight and shipping company based in Avonmouth. We are now looking for an Ocean Export Co-Ordinator to join the friendly and dynamic team. Joining a small team, your role of Ocean Export Co-Ordinator will be to arrange the shipments of household goods overseas for private individuals. Dealing directly with members of the public, previous customer service experience is essential, and it is preferable that you have experience in export and deep-sea shipping / freight forwarding procedures.

Duties will include:

• Customer contact via e-mail and telephone
• Keying data into in-house operations system relating to customer orders
• Interacting with in-house transport and warehouse team regarding collections and packing
• Producing purchase invoices using our in-house accounting system
• Producing invoices using our in-house accounting system
• Liaising with our shipping agents and producing Bill of Lading instructions
• Tracking shipments via shipping agents & carriers and keeping customers updated of progress
• Liaising with import agents regarding customs clearance and delivery
• Export Customs entries using HMRC CDS Customs system

Experience required:

• Experience in a shipping / logistics / freight forwarding environment
• Excellent communication skills
• IT skills, including use of Microsoft office applications
• Ability to work under pressure
• Organisational and time management skills
• Self-motivation
• Teamwork
• A proactive attitude

Package and Benefits:

• Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
