As part of our catering team, you will be performing a variety of tasks to help prepare and cook tasty, nutritious meals from locally sourced fresh produce.
We are currently recruiting a Cook to join our team at Christopher Pickering School. As a school cook your role will be to prepare and cook home cooked nutritious food within a budget following all food legislation and maintaining an effective catering service operating to the highest standards of food safety.
On a daily basis you will be carrying out food preparation, cooking, serving meals to students and staff, managing/ monitoring your team, food ordering, managing stock, maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment, recording and documentation of all relevant information following our food safety management system.
At this site you will work alongside 2 assistant cooks and several catering assistants. You will be a valued member of our friendly team who is reliable, dependable, and committed working flexibly between our operational hours of 7.30am to 14.00pm approx. totalling 32.5 hours per week over 5 days. No weekend work! You will work term time weeks only however you will receive equal monthly payments throughout the year.
You will be paid £13.05- £13.69 per hour in addition to annual holiday and Bank Holiday entitlement.
