Job Purpose To deliver high-quality, engaging Physical Education lessons that inspire students to enjoy sport and physical activity, promote healthy lifestyles, and achieve their potential. The PE Teacher will contribute to the wider life of the school by supporting extracurricular sport and whole-school initiatives. Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning Plan and deliver PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 if applicable), in line with the National Curriculum and exam specifications. Use a range of teaching strategies to motivate and engage all learners, including those with SEN or EAL needs. Assess, record, and report on students’ progress, providing constructive feedback. Promote positive attitudes to physical activity, health, and wellbeing. Curriculum & Assessment Contribute to the development of schemes of work and assessment strategies in PE. Prepare pupils for internal and external assessments (GCSE, BTEC, A-Level if applicable). Ensure lessons are inclusive and meet the needs of all students. Classroom & Behaviour Management Establish a safe, positive, and respectful learning environment. Uphold high expectations of behaviour in line with school policies. Ensure health and safety procedures are followed during lessons, fixtures, and extracurricular activities.
