Teaching Assistant Required
Fixed term contract until 23/07/2025, due to funding
19.5 hours per week, term time only
Working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:30am-15:30pm
Pay Grade: SCP 5- 6 24,790-25,183 FTE per year (pro-rata)
Actual salary from 10,901- 11,073 per year
Christ Church First School is a primary school located in the heart of the community. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN and Intervention Teaching Assistant to join our ambitious and supportive team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our children, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential.
What we are looking for
Christ Church First School is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant who will:
- Provide specialist support and intervention to individuals and small groups of children with special educational needs
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of resources and equipment to support children's learning
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to ensure the needs of all children are met
- Develop positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school
- Have experience working with children with special educational needs
- Have a strong understanding of effective SEND practises and a willingness to continuously develop your skills
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Use patience, empathy, and have a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Work collaboratively as part of a team and have a sense of humour!
