SEND Teaching Assistant

Fixed term contract for the duration that the child remains at the school.

We are looking to appoint an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work with a child in KS1 with an EHCP with both academic needs as well implementing care plans from external agencies such as speech and language and physiotherapy.

The successful applicant will have:

• A good working knowledge of EHCP's and contributing to them
• Have a good understanding of supporting pupils with profound needs, experience of trauma-informed practice and/or attachment is desirable.
• Able to use your own initiative to support pupils according to their individual needs.
• Will need to support with lunchtimes, routines, working 1:1 and in small groups.
• Experience of teaching phonics – RWI is desirable. Applicants should have achieved Grade C or above in GCSE Maths & English or equivalent. We can offer:
