Our client, who is a respected partner of the Ministry of Defence in the UK, are searching for an experienced Electrical Fitter – Apprenticeship-Trained Professionals to join their team at the Bolton site. This role’s primary duties involve manufacturing and testing activities within the electrical department. The ideal candidate will follow product certification procedures, maintain high standards of workmanship, and efficiently manage budgets and time-lines to achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
The product certification process involves certifying the product in line with the Product Certification procedure and demonstrating the ability and willingness to certify one’s own work in accordance with company quality standards. Regular audits are conducted to maintain product certification and approval. The role requires operating a versatile skill base, applying these skills across a range of tasks, and being fully conversant with all equipment, tools, and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing cycle. It is essential to ensure that manufacturing build, inspection, and relevant test times are met, and to comply with all procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
What do you need?:
- IPC 610 certified/ trained preferred.
- It would help if you emphasised your expertise in electrical wiring, electrical fitting, and assembly on your CV, as you have considerable experience in these areas.
- Previous experience in the aerospace or defence industry would be desirable.
- Manual handling training; ESD training.
- Lifting and slinging (including overhead cranes) training.

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by our clients Security Team.
Get up to 1,600 a month for accommodation if you do not live within 30 miles from Henlow. Full apprenticeship required – this project is a UK eyes only and requires all employees to achieve the appropriate clearance relevant to the role.
