Civitas Recruitment are delighted to be working with a fantastic Islamic start-up charity dedicated to supporting refugee and asylum-seeker children in the UK. This unique organisation focuses on providing financial assistance for madrasa (Islamic school) fees, ensuring children can retain their faith while adapting to a new environment. The charity is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimise daily operations. This pivotal leadership role will drive strategic initiatives, streamline processes, and manage resources to build long-term sustainability. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing the charity’s impact and operational excellence. This is a full-time, 1-year fixed term contract, hybrid working with at least one day minimum in the office. Please note that there will be some element of weekend work and evening work.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations or management roles, preferably within a charity or similar environment. Candidates will have strong organisational, planning and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to diverse audiences. Proven leadership capabilities with experience in team management, performance development and fostering a positive productive work environment is essential for this role. Knowledge of the charity sector and an understanding of UK charity regulations would be a bonus however it is not essential for the role.
