Sustainability Analyst

We are looking for bright and climate conscious graduates to join our consultant team.

About us:

Rio AI is an international sustainability and technology company headquartered in the UK. Through our intelligent sustainability software platform, we help businesses and individuals become more sustainable through data analysis, regulatory alignment, learning, and governance.

As an analyst within Rio’s consulting team you will work on the following:

· Client data support:

This includes obtaining and uploading client sustainability data (electricity, gas, water, waste, etc.) into the Rio platform as part of ongoing account support.

· Data analysis:

This will include the interrogation and manipulation of customer sustainability related datasets to provide key insights to our clients via our Rio platform, for example tracking data sources, investigating utility data anomalies, and reporting on data trends and key drivers of change over time.

· User support:

Support the service desk by responding to customer support tickets, solving their problems where possible, or redirecting to the appropriate account manager.

· Professional development and technical learning:

Supporting research where necessary to write white papers and other sustainability and climate related content.

· Technical skills:

Responsible for becoming proficient in: The Rio Platform, MS office, and other internal tools.

· Time management:

Responsible for accurately reporting your time across various client accounts and projects.

· Other Ad hoc work to support the business when required.

Role requirements:

· A Master’s degree in sustainability, geography, economics, mathematics, or other data-driven disciplines.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· An ability to use initiative and work independently, taking ownership of projects and tasks.

· Experience in managing and interrogating large datasets in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerBI, etc).

· A keen passion for sustainability and a good understanding of sustainability, climate, or utility data.

Nice to have:

· Experience in a fast-paced start up environment, i.e tech, sustainability, etc.

· Experience in or desire to learn coding models such as Python.

· Base Salary: £30,000
