Job Title: Regional Manager – National Childcare Group
Location: South
Salary: 75-85k + 6k Car allowance+ bonus
Our client are a leading national childcare group, dedicated to providing exceptional early years education and care across the UK. Our centres are at the heart of our communities, offering safe, nurturing environments where children thrive. With a focus on high standards, innovation, and a child-centred approach, we’re looking for an experienced Regional Manager to oversee the operations of our centres in the London and Southeast region.
The Role:
As Regional Manager, you will manage and lead a team of 5/6 Area Managers across the Southern region. You will be responsible for the operational success of multiple childcare centres, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and compliance are maintained. Your leadership will be key to driving the performance and growth of your region, while ensuring that our centres provide a safe, enriching, and positive environment for children, staff, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Area Managers, each overseeing a group of childcare centres within the and Southern region.
- Ensure all centres under your remit are consistently delivering high-quality care and education, meeting both company standards and regulatory requirements (Ofsted, safeguarding, health & safety).
- Support and develop your Area Managers to enhance their leadership capabilities, driving performance improvements across the region.
- Oversee the operational, financial, and strategic performance of all centres, ensuring that targets for occupancy, staffing, and profitability are met.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and implementing operational efficiencies and best practices.
- Monitor and support the professional development of all staff, ensuring that training, appraisal, and development plans are in place to enhance team performance.
- Build strong relationships with local communities, parents, and external stakeholders to maintain a positive reputation and community engagement.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant childcare regulations, policies, and procedures at all centres.
- Regularly report on performance metrics and key initiatives to senior leadership.
About You:
- Extensive experience in nursery or childcare operations management, with a proven track record of leading multi-site teams in the early years sector.
- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to manage and inspire Area Managers and their teams.
- In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and childcare best practices.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, drive financial performance, and improve operational efficiencies.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for early years education and a commitment to delivering exceptional care and learning experiences for children.
- Ability to travel regularly across the region to visit centres and attend meetings.
- Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Education, Management, or a relevant field (desirable).
- A full, clean driving licence is essential.
