The Junior Gas and Power Broker is responsible for assisting in the buying and selling of natural gas and power contracts on behalf of clients, helping clients secure the best prices, and ensuring energy procurement processes are optimized. The role requires market analysis, customer relationship management, and support in negotiating and closing deals.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research and Analysis:

• Monitor gas and power markets to stay informed about pricing trends, supply-demand dynamics, and geopolitical factors that affect energy prices.
• Analyze data and identify patterns or market movements that could provide opportunities for clients.
• Assist senior brokers in compiling reports on market conditions, pricing forecasts, and energy production trends.

Client Support and Relationship Management:

• Assist in managing relationships with clients, including corporate clients and suppliers.
• Respond to client inquiries, provide updates on market conditions, and help clients make informed decisions about their energy needs.
• Support senior brokers in maintaining ongoing communication with key stakeholders.

Trade Execution:

• Assist in the execution of gas and power trades, ensuring that orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor and track trade execution and follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues.
• Help coordinate logistics and deal completion by liaising with counterparties and internal teams.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of transactions, contracts, and communications with clients and suppliers.
• Prepare reports and presentations for clients, summarizing market trends, deals, and portfolio performance.
• Assist in drafting contracts and agreements, ensuring they align with client requirements and market conditions.

Assisting with Negotiations:

• Support senior brokers in negotiating gas and power contracts, helping to structure deals that are beneficial for clients.
• Gather market data and provide pricing insights to assist in negotiation strategies.

Risk Management Support:

• Help identify potential risks in gas and power transactions and assist in developing strategies to mitigate those risks.
• Keep clients informed about potential market volatility and risk factors that may impact their energy needs.
