Quantum Scholars are proud to be working with a forward-thinking secondary school located in Southampton, as they seek to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher for the new academic year starting in September 2025. This is a full-time position on a long-term supply basis, initially offered for one full academic year. For the right candidate, there is a strong possibility that this could lead to a permanent appointment through the school.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Maths across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will be joining a supportive and well-resourced Maths department with a collaborative and positive ethos.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Plan and assess in line with the national curriculum and departmental policy.
- Differentiate learning to cater to a range of abilities, including SEN and EAL students.
- Track student progress, provide regular feedback, and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's positive behaviour policy.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and departmental initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Maths department and across the school.
- Holds UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Proven experience of teaching Maths successfully at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
- Strong subject knowledge.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students.
- Must be available to start in September 2025.
- Must have a Right to Work in the UK!
